DTK drives MEA channel expansion
Hardware vendor DTK is ready to meet with potential channel partners from across the wider Middle East and Africa (MEA) region (and beyond) this week. DTK is exhibiting at DISTREE Middle East and has set its sights on identifying additional partners in the GCC and Africa. With retailers from the CIS region attending DISTREE Middle East for the first time in 2012, DTK will also look to form channel partnerships in this growing market – an area where it currently does not have a presence.

DISTREE Middle East 2012 begins today
DISTREE Middle East 2012 kicks off later today in Fujairah, UAE. The region’s premier annual event for the volume ICT and consumer electronics (CE) is poised to set a new attendance record with more than 580 channel delegates attending this year’s event. To meet increased demand for space, the DISTREE Middle East Hospitality Zone, which provides display areas and meeting rooms for exhibitors, has expanded to cover two floors at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort – the venue for this year’s event.

MERA 2012 – RETAILER NOMINATIONS
The Middle East Retail Academy (MERA) has released the official list of retailer nominations for its 2012 awards, which take place in conjunction with DISTREE Middle East. A total of 26 retailers have received nominations across ten country categories, with seven retailers nominated in multiple categories. Each nominated company has earned ‘MERA 2012 Recommended Retailer’ status for the next 12 months. An overall winner in each country will be determined by a live electronic vendor vote at the ‘MERA: 2012 Awards’ Gala Dinner on May 16th.
