Centrix signs SDG in UK

by Stuart Wilson, Wednesday 9 November 2011

Centrix Software has appointed Specialist Distribution Group (SDG) as a UK distribution partner. Under the terms of the deal SDG will market and support Centrix WorkSpace solutions within its IQ-Sys portfolio, which offers resellers technologies for supporting desktop transformation such as desktop virtualisation, Windows 7 migrations and the development of cloud services.

“Our partnership with SDG brings numerous benefits to our partner network, which has grown by more than 100% over the last 12 months. SDG’s enterprise technology consultants, channel services, and demonstration facilities are exceptional, providing partners with a variety of support and expertise,” said Lewis Gee, VP of worldwide sales and marketing at Centrix Software.

“With this new distribution partnership our resellers will have access to a depth of knowledge and experience around virtualisation and next generation enterprise technologies to help them develop their customer and market opportunities,” Gee added.

Centrix WorkSpace enables organisations to take a user-centric approach to desktop transformation, according to the vendor.

Paul Eccleston, managing director at SDG EMEA, commented: “SDG has developed a structured and staged approach to enable our partners to design and implement any desktop transformation initiative. The recent appointment of Centrix Software to the IQ-Sys portfolio will assist SDG in enabling our partners to deliver a best-of-breed end-to-end desktop transformation solution. The Centrix Software solution will deliver a crucial piece of the desktop transformation journey, helping to accelerate the potential adoption of new technologies such as virtualisation and cloud services.”

SDG will provide marketing, sales and presales support as well as training courses and access to its demonstration facilities to existing and new Centrix Software partners. Centrix Software currently has over 35 UK partners in its channel network and is looking to recruit a number of new partners over the course of the next 12 months.
