Nubia eyes European and Latin American markets
Smartphone brand Nubia has announced expansion plans for Europe and Latin America. Consumers in Mexico, Argentina, Russia, Spain and Germany will soon be able to purchase the latest nubia devices in their domestic markets. That includes the nubia Z11 mini, Z9 mini and Z9 Max. Mai Donghai, senior VP of Nubia Technology and co-founder of the nubia brand, said: “nubia has had success in China for the past three years, and now we are setting our sights on new international markets for expansion. One in two would consider sharing smart home data for cash
A worldwide survey by Intel Security has revealed that 54% of respondents would consider sharing their personal data collected from their smart home with companies in exchange for money. A whopping 70% agreed that companies should give coupons and discounts to customers in return for data about device usage, according to a survey of 9,000 global consumers sponsored by Intel Security. The survey also found that 77% of respondents believe smart homes will be as common in 2025 as smartphones are today, but 66% are also very concerned about smart home data being hacked by cybercriminals.

Mionix appoints Deal Time as GCC distributor
Mionix, a Swedish manufacturer of professional high-end gaming accessories, has signed a distribution deal with Deal Time for the GCC region. As per the terms of the agreement, Deal Time will promote and distribute the Mionix brand and develop channel business for the vendor across the region. Tianjin Tianhai to buy Ingram Micro for US$6 billion
Distribution giant Ingram Micro is set to become part of Chinese logistics and aviation outfit HNA Group in a US$6 billion cash deal. HNA Group is the largest stockholder of Tianjin Tianhai, the company that has tabled the US$38.90 a share offer, which represents a 39% premium on Ingram Micro’s average closing price during the last month. The definitive merger agreement has been unanimously approved by Ingram Micro’s board of directors.
