Exertis rejigs structure

Distributor giant Exertis has announced further changes to its group structure to try and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the organisation’s increasing global operations. Neal Johnston becomes Exertis global operations managing director in an expanded role that includes responsibility for international sales and fulfilment; supply chain managed services; global procurement; voice of the customer; own brand development; and global vendor management for the Pro AV, gaming and enterprise categories. Exertis to buy Amacom

DCC Technology has announced that it will acquire Amacom, a leading supplier of consumer electronics and small domestic appliances to retail, etail and B2B resellers, subject to approval from the relevant competition authorities. Located in Den Bosch, in the south of the Netherlands, Amacom employs around eighty staff with revenues of €160m (US$179m) in the last financial year. Amacom will become part of Exertis, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DCC. Read full story
