Aruba appoints global channel chief

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 13 March 2008

Aruba Networks has appointed company veteran Peter Cellarius to the newly created position of head of global channel operations. Aruba focuses on wireless LANs and secure unified mobility solutions. In his new role Cellarius will oversee the operation, productivity and growth of Aruba’s channel and distributor programmes.

Cellarius boasts more than 25 years of IT and networking experience. In addition to his recent role as head of business development at Aruba, Cellarius worked previously at Nortel, Stentor, and Bell Canada.

“The growing importance of our channel and distributor programmes drove the need for a single worldwide manager for these programmes,” said Dominic Orr, Aruba’s president and CEO. “Peter’s background and experience make him a perfect match for the position. He understands the needs of channel and distribution partners, and has the marketing and product management experience to ensure they receive the products, services, and support they need.”

Aruba’s adaptive wireless LANs and client-to-core security products are easily deployed and compatible with existing LAN and WAN infrastructure making them suitable for sale through distribution to small to mid-market channel partners. Larger channel partners, those focused on massively scalable solutions, can purchase through distribution or work directly with Aruba. In all cases customers have access to Aruba’s worldwide support and service resources to ensure their success.
