Fonexion ready to make APAC connections

Accessories supplier Fonexion plans to add up to 15 new channel partners in Asia Pacific (APAC), developing new routes-to-market across the fast-growing region. Fonexion is participating at DISTREE APAC 2013 in Singapore from November 12-14th. The three-day event brings together senior buyers and executives from the region’s most influential ICT and consumer electronics (CE) distributors, retailers and e-tailers in one place at one time.

Luke Ireland, COO at Fonexion, said: “Our main goal is establishing new connections to expand the sales of our products within Asia. So we are looking for distributors or big retail chains who want to grow their sales in the high margin accessory business, listing both our Ideus brand and also the range of exclusive licensed products we design and produce. Turning 15 contacts into customers would meet our goals at DISTREE APAC.”

“We have our own brand, Ideus, together with numerous licensed brands that are used on our products – mainly mobile, smartphone and tablet accessories. We want to show we are different. This is achieved by licensing brands aimed at the mass market and ones that are exclusive to Fonexion,” he explained.

Fonexion operates in a growth market and believes that it is expanding ahead of the curve. The company focuses on differentiation, bringing to market a unique set of products that stand out against competitors.

“We are a confident partner with more than 16 years of experience in this market. We distribute unique and exclusive products worldwide, under very well-known brands, presented in attractive and eco-friendly packaging with a good margin for the distributor and retailer,” continued Ireland. “The channel will only work if all the parts involved get what they are expecting: good margin, excellent sell through and great service.”

Fonexion works hard to build and develop channel partnerships, offering a wide range of support services and promotional assistance.

“We develop many product specific brochures, flyers, posters and POP material such as floor or desk display stands. Distributors can contact our marketing department and ask for literature, photographs, videos, fonts and logos,” said Ireland.

The rapid shift from regular mobile phones to smartphones is increasing the size of the mobile accessories category, according to Fonexion.

“We believe strongly in supporting our channel partners. Taking time to select the right ones is part of our business process. In 2014 we want to grow our channel and welcome the opportunity to talk to potential partners at DISTREE APAC,” said Ireland.
