HP boosts CEE distribution depth

Hardware giant HP has strengthened its channel to market in the Czech Republic. HP has named SWS as an authorised distribution partner for its desktop and notebook PCs, effective from 1st November. The deal is expected to increase HP’s reach into the SMB-focused reseller channel.
Under the terms of the distribution agreement, SWS will have access to the complete portfolio of HP PCs, including kit under the Compaq brand. SWS operates as a pure distribution company and has been focused on expanding its hardware portfolio to match its considerable strength in the software space.
HP has also boosted its printer channel in the Czech and Slovak Republics, handing distribution rights to ABC Data in these two countries, effective from 1st November.
Top volume distributors from across the EMEA region, including SWS and ABC Data, have been invited to attend DISTREE XXL 2010, the premier event for the regional ICT and CE channel.
DISTREE XXL gathers 400-plus senior executives from EMEA’s Information Communications Technologies (ICT) & Consumer Electronics (CE) volume distribution channel. During the course of the three-day event, delegates take part in thousands of pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with hundreds of vendors. Each year, hundreds of new distribution agreements are struck across EMEA as a result of business relationships initiated at DISTREE XXL.
DISTREE XXL 2010 will also build on successful initiatives launched at last year’s sold out event including a regional awards ceremony. The ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2010 Awards’ will include more than a dozen awards handed out to vendors and distributors from across the region. www.distree.com/xxl
