Bahrain-based Hilal Computers has been awarded gold partner status by security gateway vendor Websense. Hilal, which bills itself as a hardware and software systems integration and solution player, reckons that it has made the grade as a gold partner four months ahead of schedule.
Hardy Koshy, general manager at Hilal Computers, said: "Hilal Computers aims to leverage Websense’s partner support to grow web security software sales revenues in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Hilal Computers is confident it [can] exceed Websense’s challenging partner criteria.”
Muralidharan Vellat, Middle East account manager at Websense, added: "This well-deserved upgrade was achieved by virtue of Hilal Computers’ commitment to meeting gold partner criteria. We look forward to working with Hilal Computers to create opportunities for revenue growth and maximised profitability in the Gulf."
Geoffrey Milne, general manager at Al Hilal Group, Hilal Computers’ parent company, said: "One of the key drivers for our IT business is integrated solutions and with the dynamic growth of web-based services, our partnership with Websense is perfectly timed to meet increasing demand."
The criteria required for gold status included demonstrating a commitment to commercial success and technical competence, and balancing ambitious growth with consistent high quality delivery. As a gold partner, Hilal Computers will access world-class technical support, sales enablement and marketing tools and training and education resources provided by Websense.
