BlueCat opens European headquarters

BlueCat has appointed Paul Couturier as its new VP of sales for Europe

BlueCat Networks has opened its new European headquarters in Amsterdam. BlueCat, which offers IP address management (IPAM), DNS and DHCP platforms in both physical and virtual appliances, has also announced the appointment of Paul Couturier as its new VP of sales for Europe. Couturier previously held senior roles at TippingPoint, HP and 3Com.

The Amsterdam office will be responsible for liaising with BlueCat Networks’ European channel partners to define business opportunities. The European office will also ensure distributors and resellers have the resources required to identify the marketing and sales opportunities that will further drive BlueCat Networks’ market share. Couturier, the former VP and general manager for EMEA and APAC at TippingPoint, will lead the European headquarters.

“Despite the global recession, worldwide demand for BlueCat’s IPAM and DNS/DHCP solutions continues to grow rapidly, and the new Amsterdam office is a direct result of BlueCat’s expansion in Europe,” said Couturier

“One of several new BlueCat offices opening worldwide in 2010, the Amsterdam headquarters will lead BlueCat’s aggressive marketing activities in Europe. This office will provide all the local support and knowledge our growing number of European channel partners require to ensure they can easily access the resources and training they need to grow their customer base and maximize sales,” he added.
