Magirus launches European Vblock roadshow
by Stuart Wilson, Monday 20 September 2010
VAD outfit Magirus has announced a pan-European Vblock roadshow targeted at VMware, Cisco and EMC resellers. They will help resellers define and progress the opportunity of VMware, Cisco and EMC – known collectively as VCE - and Vblocks for a single, coordinated approach to enterprise virtualisation and the unified data centre.
VCE experts from VMware, Cisco and EMC will present at the seminars which will be held during October and November in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. The VCE initiative provides a single, validated approach from three virtualisation, converged networking and storage vendors to overcome this issue.
Vblock infrastructure packages are integrated IT offerings from the VCE coalition that combine virtualisation, networking, compute, storage, security and management technologies with end-to-end vendor accountability.
Magirus claims that its Vblock roadshow is the first opportunity for resellers across Europe to gain a unique insight into this business opportunity for their customers. The one and a half day seminars, which are free of charge to attend, have been designed specifically to help resellers capitalise upon the VCE initiative and the data centre market. Within those resellers, technical sales, pre-sales consultants, solutions architects and project managers would benefit most from attending.
Christian Magirus, executive VP and COO at Magirus, commented: “The unified approach to virtualising IT infrastructure and the data centre is the way forward. It’s a golden opportunity for resellers to specialise and deliver compelling benefits for their customers such as reduced CAPEX by achieving 90% to 100% virtualisation.”
“Backed by the VCE coalition, Magirus can help resellers take this first step with the Roadshow then be available to support them with implementation afterwards,” he added.
The Magirus’ Vblock roadshow series will take place in Strasbourg on October 19-20th, Paris on 21-22nd October and Dusseldorf on 26-27th October. The roadshow then moves to Madrid on 2-3rd November before ending in Milan on 4-5th November.
