Indian distribution giant Rashi Peripherals recently concluded a training programme on components, designed to encourage the growth of ‘personalised PC’ offerings across India. Leading IT brands such as Toshiba, Asus, Intel, Western Digital and ADATA showcased their new offerings and also conducted in-depth training session on their latest product portfolio. Rashi also organised a training session on goods and services tax (GST) to educate attendees on the new tax regime in India.

The component training programme is a unique initiative by Rashi Peripherals, conducted in association with its strategic vendor partners, to educate ‘Champions’ on the new market opportunities in the personalised PC segment. Around 55 ‘Champions’ from major cities attended the event and gained insights into latest technological innovations and market conditions.

We have conducted many training and education programmes for our Champions, branch heads and the accounting staff since December.”

During the training session held on July 14th, Asus representatives addressed various queries from attendees. Champions gave their feedback on vendor support and also highlighted their challenges in the field in terms of stock availability and support.

Vinay Shetty, regional head Asus India & South Asia, commented: "I thank Rashi Peripherals for organising a training program,me on Asus products. It provided us a great platform to interact with the key Rashi Champions. The event was also a good opportunity for us to provide the Champions in-depth knowledge on the Asus product line.”

Toshiba showcased its innovation in the storage space.

Polad Garda, country manager at Toshiba India, said: "The component training meet is a very innovative and excellent initiative by Rashi Peripherals. It is a great platform to share latest product updates with all Champions, who position our offerings to the end users."

Garda added: "Rashi’s pan-India presence has helped Toshiba to reach out across the regions in India. Rashi gives a lot of thrust on education and training for partners and Champions to pass on the latest information on the products and market opportunity to them.”
