iBRIT signs retail agreement with Carrefour UAE

iBRIT has announced a regional retail agreement with leading Middle East consumer tech retailer Carrefour.

The agreement sees hypermarket chain Carrefour stock iBRIT smartphones and paves the way for further expansion and increased market share for the vendor.

iBRIT is a premium smart devices brand that develops innovative products which are elegantly designed with the latest technology and superior components.

iBRIT is incorporated in London, UK, and has its sales and marketing headquarters in Dubai, supported by regional offices in Shenzhen and Istanbul.

Haitham Kalakesh, CEO at iBRIT, commented: “We are delighted to have started this cooperation with Carrefour – a company driving the evolution of consumer tech retail across the Middle East and Africa. iBRIT devices are now available through Carrefour outlets in the UAE, Bahrain, and Kenya.”

iBRIT’s agreement with Carrefour launched on April 4th 2018, with plans in place to extend the agreement to other countries where the retailer operates, including Egypt and Oman. iBRIT aims to extend its presence across Middle East, Africa and European markets. IBRITs principal shareholders have stakes in manufacturing facilities with expertise in smart phones, tablets, 2-in-1 devices, smartwatches, drones and the latest IoT accessories.

Kalakesh added: “The agreement with Carrefour has had an immediate impact on our sales performance. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with Carrefour. We thank Carrefour for their support of iBRIT and their confidence in our brand proposition and product portfolio. Recent market data from GfK identified iBRIT as one of the top ten smartphone brands in the UAE based on retail sellout.”

iBRIT has so far focused its attention on GCC markets but is now looking to expand its international channel reach across the wider Middle East region and fast-growing African markets. iBRIT is covering multiple retail channels through a comprehensive go-to-market strategy designed to deliver maximum consumer reach.

iBRIT recently appointed Assr Al Jawal as a UAE distributor to focus on the country’s independent retailer channel. In Egypt, iBRIT has appointed telecoms specialist One Trading as an in-country distribution partner.
