CPS to sell G Data e-licences
by Stuart Wilson, Friday 10 June 2011
Russian software distributor CPS has struck an agreement with G Data to sell electronic licences on behalf of the German antivirus software vendor. CPS reckons that the new method of distribution will appeal to e-tailers specialising in e-commerce software sales.
CPS also believes that partners geographically distant from Moscow or looking to minimise logistics costs will also benefit from the new agreement.
Mikhail Khvatov, IT security product manager at CPS, said: “Digital distribution is a very promising format in terms of licensing and software sales and we are pleased to offer our partners this new opportunity [with G Data].”
CPS has been operating in Russia since 1993 and works with a wide range of software vendors including Adobe, BitDefender, Citrix, Kerio, Microsoft, Oracle, Panda, Roxio and VMware. The company sell through a channel network of more than 2,000 partners.
