Open Text teams up with Logica

by Stuart Wilson, Friday 18 July 2008

Open Text has formed a partnership with European IT and business services company Logica. Under the terms of the deal, Logica and enterprise content management (ECM) vendor Open Text will collaborate on the implementation of joint market offerings, based on Open Text’s ECM software, in conjunction with a range of consulting, systems integration, application management and managed operation services from Logica.

Graham Page, channel director EMEA at Open Text, stated: "Many organisations looking to leverage information and manage compliance through ECM are working with leading consultancies such as Logica. For Open Text, the business relationship is a natural extension, enabling us to offer our market leading solutions to a far broader market. We’re looking forward to continuing to build on our relationship with Logica."

Adrian McGrath, principal ECM solutions architect at Logica, added: "Having access to the right information at the right time in today’s competitive marketplace is crucial to making strategic business decisions. With an effective ECM system in place this happens seamlessly, delivering real business value to an organisation. By combining Logica’s ECM expertise with Open Text’s state-of-the-art solutions, we can offer our clients significant added value to their content management initiatives."

Open Text claims that it is a market leader in providing ECM. Its software combines collaboration with content management, transforming information into knowledge that provides the foundation for innovation, compliance and accelerated growth, according to the vendor.

Logica operates as an IT and business services company, employing 39,000 people across 36 countries. It provides business consulting, systems integration, and IT and business process outsourcing services. Logica is listed on both the London Stock Exchange and Euronext.
