The full list of vendor nominations for the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2013 Awards’ has been published. The awards, taking place for the fifth year in a row, are staged in conjunction with DISTREE EMEA in Monaco. A total of 43 different vendors received official nominations with nine brands nominated in multiple categories. Sony picked up five nominations while Samsung made the short list in four categories. Toshiba was nominated in three categories with Asus, Canon, HP, Logitech, Microsoft and Seagate all nominated for two apiece.

Hundreds of distributors and retailers across the region have been nominating their preferred vendors across 12 product categories during the last month. The top five in each category received official category nominations. The overall winners in each product category will be decided by a live electronic vote at the awards Gala Dinner on February 21st held at Salle des Etoiles in Monaco.

The full list of vendor nominations (in alphabetical order) for the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2013 Awards’ is as follows:

EMEA Monitors/TVs Vendor of the Year: LG, Philips, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba

EMEA Components Vendor of the Year: Asus, Gigabyte, Intel, Sapphire, Seagate

EMEA Software Vendor of the Year: Adobe, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Microsoft, Norton

EMEA Printing Vendor of the Year: Brother, Canon, Epson, HP, Samsung

EMEA Home Networking Vendor of the Year: D-Link, Linksys, Netgear, TP-Link, Trendnet

EMEA Accessories Vendor of the Year: Belkin, Logitech, Port Designs, Trust, Tucano

EMEA Gaming Vendor of the Year: Genius, Logitech, Microsoft, Sony, Thrustmaster

EMEA Storage Vendor of the Year: Kingston, Seagate, Toshiba, Verbatim, WD

EMEA Audio Vendor of the Year: Creative, JBL, Logitech, Philips, Sony

EMEA Imaging Vendor of the Year: BenQ, Canon, Nikon, Samsung, Sony

EMEA Mobile Device Vendor of the Year: Asus, Garmin, Huawei, Samsung, Sony

EMEA Notebook/Netbook/Desktop Vendor of the Year: Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba

This is actually the fifth year we have hosted the awards and they remain unique in terms of their open and transparent voting processes – it is awards for the channel, voted for by the channel.“
