E-tailer JadoPado enters new countries

by Stuart Wilson, Friday 15 March 2013

E-tailer JadoPado has embarked on an ambitious expansion plan. The UAE-based company, which offers a range of ICT and consumer electronics (CE) products, is expanding its operations and delivery services to cover the entire GCC region plus Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka. The new geographies represent JadoPado’s first foray outside the UAE since the company was established in September 2010.

"2012 was an extremely rewarding year for us and we are on track to triple our business this year," said Omar Kassim, founder of JadoPado. "We believe that the time is ripe for us to explore new opportunities in the region and to extend our unique e-commerce experience of speedy delivery, real-time customer support and certified secure online payment to the rest of the GCC."

"Our international expansion objectives are twofold: firstly, to extend our customer base, but more importantly, to drive acceptance of online shopping and grow the e-commerce market in the GCC and South Asia. We have been working really hard to ensure that our customers in these new markets will enjoy a seamless and frictionless shopping experience and checkout process. 2013 looks set to be an exciting, new chapter for JadoPado," added Kassim.

With the expansion of JadoPado in size and geography, the team which started out as one has now grown to 31 employees. Today, JadoPado offers consumers a vast range of electronics and IT including notebooks, smartphones, tablets, games, accessories and cameras.

The company claims that it was among the first retailers in the UAE to offer the latest gadgets such as the BlackBerry Z10, which sold out within hours of becoming available on JadoPado. The e-tailer now claims to receive 115,000 visitors and more than 485,000 page views on its site each month.
