Mimecast makes Middle East move

by Stuart Wilson, Friday 17 October 2008

E-mail management services provider Mimecast has launched in the Middle East. The UK-based software as a service (SaaS) outfit is setting up a free zone office in Dubai and will participate in trade show GITEX as the company eyes business opportunities and potential channel partnerships across the wider Middle East.

Naqui Mirza, regional director at Mimecast Middle East, said: “We are extremely excited to launch our operations in the Middle East region, where we will operate with a channel focused expansion strategy to emerge as a leading provider in the region’s e-mail management space.”

He added: “Mimecast offers organisations a globally scalable e-mail solution with tremendous control and granularity at a local level driving cost and infrastructure efficiencies in the process.”

Mimecast Services, which was founded in 2002, claims that it is the world’s largest online archiver and provides e-mail continuity and security via an online e-mail management platform.
