Hitachi GST hooks up with HK

Hard drive vendor Hitachi GST has struck a deal with HK Consulting to expand the vendor’s presence in the Middle East and Africa. Working out of Dubai, HK Consulting, which is headed up by WD’s former regional boss Hafeez Khawaja, will work with Hitachi GST’s distributors, resellers and integrators to try and boost demand for the vendor’s hard drives across the region.

"HK Consulting will enhance Hitachi GST’s efforts in this fast growing region, opening new opportunities for growth," said Nick Kyriacou, EMEA director at Hitachi GST. "With nearly 20 years of hard drive industry experience, the HK Consulting team has established strong relationships at all levels with customers in the region."

HK Consulting will also serve as a local point of contact for Hitachi GST in Africa and the Middle East, which is expected to strengthen channel relationships and customer service in the region.

"Our collaboration with Hitachi GST will focus on marketing, demand generation and communication activities for the company’s broad range of hard drives," said Khawaja, CEO at HK Consulting. "We are delighted to represent Hitachi GST, an industry leader with a strong legacy of technology innovation and product quality."

HK Consulting will also collaborate with Hitachi to develop its channel partner network using Hitachi’s partner first programme. Participants enjoy varying levels of access to shared resources, knowledge, support and rebate incentives.
