Computer 2000 extends UK channel credit

Computer 2000, the UK arm of distribution giant tech Data, has announced that it will extend its credit lines to the channel in line with the January VAT increase to ensure that resellers’ ability to do business is not restricted by the change. This further injection of US$161m credit per month into the channel is in addition to the US$516m increase that Computer 2000 has made over the past 12 months. (lire la suite)

Comztek boosts Microsoft team

South African distributor Comztek has appointed Bryden Culbert as its Microsoft business development manager for the Cape region. In his new role, Culbert will be responsible for the management and promotion of Microsoft licensing within the region. Apple’s EMEA boss adds Kingfisher role

Pascal Cagni, VP and general manager for Apple in EMEA and India, has taken on a non-executive director role at London-quoted home improvement retail group Kingfisher. The DIY giant reckons that Cagni can help the company develop an effective multichannel market strategy. Cagni has been with Apple for 10 years in a variety of roles and his CV also includes stints at NEC, Compaq and Booz Allen Hamilton. (lire la suite)
