Axiom secures BlackBerry rights

Middle East mobile distributor and retailer Axiom Telecom has formed a regional distribution relationship with Research In Motion (RIM). MICS adds Gigabyte notebooks

Russian IT and consumer electronics distributor MICS has boosted its PC portfolio, adding a range of products from Gigabyte to its line-up. MICS will push Gigabyte notebooks and netbooks. The first delivery from the Taiwanese maker has come to Russia and is currently available from the MICS warehouse in Moscow. (lire la suite)

Europc sale to start on ‘Black Friday’

UK-based refurbished IT hardware e-tailer Europc.co.uk will launch its Christmas clearance sale on Friday 26th November. The company has picked the date to coincide with ‘Black Friday’ – the traditional start of the Christmas shopping season in the USA. Europc plans to slash prices and will offer consumers free next day delivery on all purchases. (lire la suite)

DiHouse ready for DISTREE XXL

DiHouse is one of hundreds of channel distributors from across EMEA already confirmed to attend DISTREE XXL 2011. The Russian distributor, which is part of the ECS Group, will attend EMEA’s largest independent channel event to identify potential new vendors to add to its product portfolio. Also-Actebis merger delayed

The completion of the proposed merger between European distribution giants Also and Actebis has been delayed. The two companies first announced their intention to join forces in August 2010 and had planned to close the deal by the end of the year. With approval from the relevant competition authorities now expected by the week of December 6th at the earliest, Also and Actebis have pushed the expected completion date to the first quarter of 2011.
