Interactive Ideas adds Athena rights

UK-based VAD Interactive Ideas has picked up EMEA distribution rights for US-based software outfit Athena Security. Interactive The deal makes sense because Athena Security has partnered with SolarWinds (a vendor that also sells through Interactive Ideas) to integrate Athena FirePAC with the SolarWinds Orion network configuration manager (NCM) product to offer an operations-friendly firewall management solution. Double digit growth predicted for Polish IT market

Research house PMR forecasts that the Polish IT market will grow 10.9% in full year 2011 to hit an annual total of US$8.86 billion. This year’s growth rate is almost double that experienced in 2010 when the market grew just 5.8%. 2011 marks the second year of recovery from the market slowdown experienced in 2009 when the Polish IT sector contracted 9.2% year-on-year and was worth US$7.58 billion. Synaxon adds DCI in UK

Reseller group Synaxon has formed a partnership with DCI Jet Tec, the UK’s largest manufacturer of compatible and remanufactured inkjets and toners. The agreement gives Synaxon’s 700-plus members in the UK simplified access to DCI Jet Tec’s full range of ink products and accessories for printers and multi-function devices. (lire la suite)

Reevoo launches ‘trusted reviews’ manifesto

Online review site Reevoo wants to clamp down on some of the problems afflicting consumer reviews available on websites. Reevoo hopes that its new ‘trusted review’ manifesto will help to stamp out fake reviews, paid-for reviews and even the selective display of only positive reviews. Reevoo claims to have the support of some of Europe’s top retailers and brands including Sony, Toshiba, Dixons Group and Best Buy UK. (lire la suite)
