Lenovo gets Wyse with new agreement

Hardware vendor Lenovo has struck a worldwide deal with Wyse. Under the terms of the agreement Wyse will add its expertise in thin client operating system optimisation, management and virtualisation software to select models of high-end Lenovo mobile clients. Middle East CE & ICT retail confidence dips

The Middle East Retail Academy (MERA) Monthly Monitor Report for working month August showed a slight confidence dip regarding business prospects for the next three months. The report, which gathers together the opinions of the region’s leading CE & ICT vendors and retailers, showed the overall confidence index declining to 5.85 (scored out of 10) compared to 6.25 a month earlier. Merlion and Mio team up in Russia

Comztek bags Xbox deal in South Africa

Distributor Comztek has been awarded sole distribution rights for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in South Africa. Comztek took on the role of interim distributor for the console three months ago following the liquidation of incumbent distributor Mi Digital. Asbis extends Lenovo notebook rights

Emerging markets distribution powerhouse Asbis has struck a new distribution deal with Lenovo covering the vendor’s notebook line-up. Under the terms of the agreement, Asbis has picked up distribution rights for Lenovo IdeaPad and ThinkPad notebooks in Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania and Saudi Arabia. Asbis already held Lenovo notebook rights in Russia and Ukraine, while the agreement in Saudi Arabia was confirmed earlier this year. (lire la suite)
