Ceiva enters European retail channel

by Stuart Wilson, Wednesday 30 April 2008

Connected digital photo frame vendor Ceiva has struck a European retail agreement with DSGi. Ceiva offers fully connected frames which every day automatically receive new photos sent from family and friends anywhere in the world. The Ceiva frames will now be available throughout the UK and Europe through select DSGi retailers including Currys, PC World, online and Pixmania.com.

“There is a hungry market for Ceiva digital photo frames internationally with consumers in Europe looking for a high quality frame that allows them to share their life experiences with friends and families in a very innovative way,” said Helen Houghton, trading director at DSGi. “We are always looking for new offerings in-store and online that will resonate well with our consumer community. Ceiva’s ease-of-use and technologically forward features meet our high standards.”

With Ceiva’s photo sharing service, the company’s digital frames automatically connect every day via Ethernet or a wireless home network to retrieve new photos.

“Bringing the Ceiva digital photo frame experience to the UK and European marketplace opens the door for a true global networked photo sharing solution,” said Alan Schogoleff, VP worldwide sales at Ceiva Logic. “Working with DSGi enables us to bridge the US European gap, making it possible for people around the world to have the opportunity to share and display photos without borders.”

Currys and PC World are the leading specialist electrical and computing brands in the UK while Pixmania.com is the only pan-European web retailer of digital photographic and consumer electronic goods, trading in 26 countries through partnered web sites.
