British cloud aggregator more than doubles partner numbers and revenue
Vuzion, the cloud aggregator, is celebrating its first birthday with strong growth and momentum. Launched in 2016 as a value-add cloud aggregator focused on resellers, services providers and ISVs, Vuzion has more than doubled the number of participating resellers, who joined from parent company Cobweb Solutions, to over 400, with monthly revenue growth of more than 60 per cent year over year.
One year in, Vuzion has over 20 dedicated specialists, from experienced account managers to product specialists (including Microsoft certified technical leads), cloud experts delivering 24*7 support, and marketing professionals.
Vuzion is working with and supporting a wide variety of partners, from ISVs, MSPs, VARs, and Direct CSP resellers – with each type of partner leveraging different elements of Vuzion’s capabilities, including a comprehensive self-service platform and portal, billing-as-a-service, support-as-a-service, expert technical pre-sales support and solution design architects.
Twelve months of success In its first year Vuzion has • delivered its first 10,000 Office 365 seat month • helped dozens of resellers launch their first Azure-based products leveraging Vuzion’s comprehensive GTM framework including capability development, pre-sales support, pre-defined solution frameworks and operational delivery services • supported its resellers transition 1,000s of customers to Office 365 • begun a European expansion programme, with the opening of an Irish subsidiary • become an approved education distributor, with dedicated support for education resellers, with significant wins based on Azure solutions in education • through Vuzion EDGE, a readiness and enablement programme including education and training to support partner growth, has trained dozens of partners • achieved and renewed six gold Microsoft competencies: Cloud Platform; Cloud Productivity; Small & Midmarket Cloud Solutions; Communications; Messaging; and Datacentre • launched the Love Cloud event series, where partners from across the ecosystem promote their offerings and connect with other resellers and partners to build new customer solutions • won Microsoft’s 2017 CSP Momentum Partner of the Year award
A bright future Managing director Michael Frisby’s goal is to double the number of partners again, with corresponding revenue growth in the year ahead.
Frisby explained, “With Vuzion EDGE we are helping partners accelerate their time to market and secure more cloud wins. Moreover, the Vuzion ecosystem is much more than just a portfolio of vendors’ cloud services. In our first year, we have added dozens of professional and managed services from a range of ISVs and resellers such as the Managed Backup and DRaaS from MSP Union Solutions, and QGate’s Paribus CRM solution.
“We have driven strong revenue growth by helping resellers transition 1,000s of customers to the cloud in our first year. Many partners have taken advantage of our billing-as-a-service offering, which removes operational cost and increases profit as they transition to a cloud-first business. We have also supported scores of resellers in switching to the CSP programme, especially from Advisor and Open. With Microsoft turning off Advisor rebates on 30th June, now is the time for any IT providers who haven’t yet switched to CSP to make the transition.”
Office 365 and Microsoft Azure are the core offering in the Vuzion portfolio, complemented by solutions which include Microsoft’s EM+S, Dynamics 365, and Power BI, along with BitTitan, DocuSign, Exclaimer, SkyKick, Light Up 365, TermSet, AvePoint, Mimecast, Global Relay and TransVault.
