Akyumen signs Sands in Middle East

Mobile device brand Akyumen has signed Sands Distribution as its GCC distribution partner. The deal covers Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. This is the beginning of a strategic long-term vision for both the companies where Sands Distribution will distribute the Akyumen devices to retail, carrier, and traditional channel across its territory. Noon signs partnership with Extra

Online marketplace and e-tailer Noon has signed a partnership agreement with United Electronics Company, the parent company of Saudi Arabian retailer Extra. Under the terms of the deal, Extra becomes Noon’s exclusive Saudi Arabian partner for a range of consumer electronics and home appliance items such as Samsung, LG, Sony, Braun, Kenwood and Moulinex, among others. Tech Data gets strategic with Microsoft in Eastern Europe

Distributor Tech Data has announced a new strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of the full range of Microsoft software and cloud solutions in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. The new agreement between Tech Data and Microsoft will focus on Office 365, Azure, and solutions for BI, IoT and Analytics and will include additional investments in Tech Data resources, marketing initiatives and the company’s global cloud transaction platform, StreamOne. SOUQ integrates additional Amazon processes

DISTREE APAC completes fifth annual consumer tech channel event in Singapore

DISTREE Asia Pacific (APAC) took place at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel in Singapore from 8th to 10th November 2017. This week’s event gathered more than 170 senior executives from consumer tech vendors, distributors, retailers and e-tailers in one place at one time.
