Rashi Peripherals launches consumer roadshow

Fast-growing Indian distributor Rashi Peripheals has kickstarted a series of consumer roadshows. The events are called ‘Touching Everyone’s Life (TEL)’ and organised in collaboration with Western Digital, SanDisk, Plantronics, Fitbit, Belkin and Lenovo. TEL aims to offer hands-on experience of latest product innovations in lifestyle tech to end-users. Starting in Mumbai, TEL is set to reach out to over 30 ‘B’ and ‘C’ class cities and towns across India. TEL will explore untapped markets and help the brands increase their footprint in the country. Tech Data forms European agreement with Schneider

Distributor Tech Data has announced a pan-European agreement Schneider Electric, a specialist in energy management and automation for homes, buildings, datacentres, infrastructure and industries. GTDC adds new members

The Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) has announced the addition of three new members: CMS Distribution, Siewert & Kau and Tessco Technologies. The new members support the GTDC’s continued global expansion while further demonstrating the success and growth of distribution worldwide, according to the association. Elko Group boosts sales

Emerging markets distributor Elko increased sales 18% year-on-year in the first half of 2018 to hut US$749m. Gross margins came in at 4.6% compared to 5.1% a year earlier. Net profits for the first half of 2018 were down 28% year-on-year at US$3.8m – a net profit margin of 0.5%. Sales in the CIS region climbed 25% to hit US$390m. Read full story

ASBIS adds TYAN rights

ASBIS has becomes an official distributor of TYAN in EMEA emerging markets. The distribution agreement covers Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), the Baltic States, the Former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Africa. Robby Lin, senior director of MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation’s TYAN business unit, said: "We are excited about partnering with ASBIS and bringing TYAN server solutions to the EMEA markets." CMS Distribution appoints three new directors

CMS Distribution is now a global business with over 350 employees in Europe, APAC and the US with revenues of just under £500m (US$640.9m) per annum and six acquisitions under its belt.
