Exertis adds three new accessories brands

Distributor Exertis has added three new brands to its accessories range. The distributor’s extensive channel customer base will now have access to connectivity solutions from J5, mobile phone accessories from Tzumi and travel accessories from Travel Blue. Krusell reveals first quarter top seller list

Accessories brand Krusell has released its top seller list for the first quarter of 2018. The list of devices is based on the number of pieces of custom made mobile and smartphone cases ordered from Krusell during the first quarter of 2018. The list reflects the sales of phones on six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe. Apple’s iPhone 8 took top spot on Krusell’s first quarter top sellers list, with devices from Samsung, Huawei and Sony also appearing in the rankings. Read full story

XTOUCH launches e-commerce platform

Dubai-based consumer electronics brand XTOUCH has launched its own e-commerce website. The new site enables customers to purchase XTOUCH products online with free shipping and repair services. Targeted customers can also take advantage of an instalment payment scheme offered directly by XTOUCH with payments collected by the company’s sales and service representatives. Foxconn buys Belkin

Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) has agreed to buy Belkin for approximately US$866 million in cash, creating a global consumer electronics leader. As well as the Belkin brand, the deal also brings the Linksys, Wemo and Phyn brands under FIT’s control. Leveraging Belkin’s strength in research and development (R&D) capabilities and the consumer products channel, FIT hopes to further tap into premium accessories and the smart home market. MyKronoz crowdfunds US$8m for ZeTime in less than a year

Innovative smartwatch brand MyKronoz has announced record-breaking crowdfunding results for ZeTime, its hybrid smartwatch. After a 35-day Kickstarter campaign launched in March 2017, ZeTime has since pursued its crowdfunding journey on a variety of international and local platforms including Indiegogo, Makuaké in Japan, Zec Zec in Taïwan, Wadiz in Korea and on the leading chinese e-commerce website JD.com.
