Computerlinks signs Jacarta deal
IT security and internet solutions distributor Computerlinks has boosted its portfolio, signing a deal to distribute Jacarta’s solutions in the UK and Ireland. Jacarta offer environmental and power monitoring equipment. Under the terms of the agreement, Computerlinks will distribute the complete Jacarta portfolio, focusing on the InterSeptor product range – a scaleable environmental monitoring system for computer rooms and racking.

Stonesoft has expanded Magirus’ distribution rights for StoneGate network security solutions, extending the VAD’s territorial coverage to include Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Magirus already held StoneGate rights for Italy and Belgium. In his new role, Pommel will assume revenue and management responsibility for Infor’s channel and alliances programme in EMEA. The latest PC shipment data from the number crunchers at Gartner has shown first quarter 2008 unit sales in Western Europe climbing 14.1% year-on-year to 15.2 million units. The change in the dollar-euro exchange rate allowed vendors to reduce average selling prices (ASPs) much faster than expected, according to the team at Gartner.
