EET Europarts adds Sony rights in Nordics

Sony Nordic has appointed EET Europarts as distribution partner, as an extension of its existing distribution network in the Nordic countries. The distribution agreement covers Sony consumer products in the following categories: televisions, home theatre and home audio, headphones and portable audio, plus digital cameras and video cameras. Securifi adds Logicom as distributor

Exertis expands presence in China

Exertis, a business-to-business and retail distributor, has announced the opening of newly expanded offices at Honglong Century Plaza, Shenzhen, China. Elko completes €8m bond issue

Emerging markets distributor Elko has announced it successfully completed an €8m (US$9.08m) bond issue on October 14th at an annual interest rate of 8% The minimum subscription offer for investors was €100,000 (US$113,500). The bond issue was arranged by Baltikums Bank. The maturity date for these bonds is October 16th, 2018. Read full story

Logicom makes Middle East appointments

Distributor Logicom has named Mounir Sarkis as regional director for its UAE and Gulf operation. The company has also appointed Peter Irinarchos as general manager for the UAE and Gulf region. Sarkis will be responsible for the extended region of the GCC, including Saudi Arabia. He has proven his leadership qualities within Logicom first as sales manager in the UAE and the Gulf and then as general manager of Logicom Saudi Arabia. Sarkis will now lead Logicom’s strategies for extending sales revenues and partner reach across the extended region. Read full story

Distributor giant Tech Data’s UK operation has formed a dedicated team to address the fast-growing market for wearable technology. The three-strong team will work together on partner enablement and programmes designed to drive reseller and retailer sales.
