Emerging markets distributor Elko Group has struck a deal to push ScreenMedia projector screens and interactive boards. Elko has been named as exclusive distributor for ScreenMedia in the Baltics. Leary gets new MFP role at Tech Data UK

Distributor Tech Data has appointed its first dedicated business development executive for HP multifunctional devices (MFDs) covering the UK and Ireland markets. Mike Leary has moved across to this newly-created post having spent the last three years working on cross-vendor business development within the print and supplies team. Research house CONTEXT believes that the involvement of the US$135 billion per annum global IT distribution channel could create a tipping point for 3D printer sales. “While the channels for sales of industrial and professional 3D printers are in many cases long established, the new breed of desktop 3D printers seem better partnered with IT distribution routes to market” said Chris Connery, VP of global analysis at CONTEXT. Innov8 strikes Louis Pion smartwatch supply deal

Connected devices distributor Innov8 has struck a deal to supply smartwatches to 140 Louis Pion stores in France. The deal marks another step forward in the blending of technology and fashion channels, as wearables make their mark in mainstream markets. Innov8 will also educate Louis Pion staff on how best to sell smartwatches and explain functionality to consumers. Arrow bags FireEye rights in Europe

Distributor Arrow Electronics has added FireEye rights across Europe, through a new agreement aimed at providing cyber security solutions on a broader scale to the channel across the region.
