Mirakl marketplace selected by Elkjøp

Mirakl, a global marketplace solutions provider, will provide Elkjøp Nordic, part of Dixons Carphone and the largest consumer electronic retailer in the Nordics, with its B2B SaaS marketplace platform. The new deal will see Elkjøp, which has 400 stores in four countries and 10,000 employees, grow its online offering with a new marketplace that will keep customers excited about its brand through experimentation with new product lines and promotions. Elkjøp has sales of €2.7 billion (US$3.02 billion), €600m (US$671m) of which are through its existing online channels. Read full story

Tech Data UK to distribute Aiptek mini-projectors

Tech Data UK is now distributing mini-projectors from the Taiwanese manufacturer, Aiptek, allowing retailers and e-tailers the chance to offer the company’s range of Pico devices to their customers. Aiptek makes a range of innovative projectors designed mainly for mobile consumers. Jonathan Tseng, international sales manager for Aiptek International, said: “We see the UK as a strategically important market and the new partnership with Tech Data will be the key to helping us to achieve our aim of making Aiptek recognised as a leading provider of projection solutions in the mobile and home markets." EET Europarts signs EIZO distribution deal

EET Europarts has picked up distribution rights for EIZO’s DuraVision surveillance and security monitor line-up in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. EIZO products will be distributed through EET Europarts´ professional network of specialised surveillance and security integrators and resellers. EIZO is a visual technology company that develops and manufactures high-end display solutions. The DuraVision monitors are built for 24-hours use and equipped for high visibility for surveillance and security. Read full story

Tech Data UK aims to add 30 new Microsoft CSPs

Distributor Tech Data UK is aiming to recruit and train up to 30 new partners for the Microsoft cloud solutions provider (CSP) programme by the end of the calendar year, using its new CPS accelerator initiative. The company is looking to sign-up partners for the Tech Data Office 365, Azure and the enterprise mobility suite (EMS) accelerate programmes and will be providing three training streams – for sales, technical, and marketing – to help resellers get on board and attain the cloud accreditations that will help support and grow their Microsoft CSP business. NASDAQ-quoted BlackBerry has announced a deal that will see BB Merah Putih source, distribute and promote BlackBerry-branded devices that use BlackBerry’s secure Android software and applications. TechAccess gains Huawei CSP status in UAE

Middle East and North Africa (MENA) VAD outfit TechAccess has gained certified service partner (CSP) status from Huawei for the UAE. TechAccess began its relationship with Huawei earlier in the year and is the vendor’s only GCC-wide distributor. TechAccess has assigned a dedicated team to cover several countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Read full story
