Headlinks adds Elari rights in MEA region

Distributor Headlinks has added Elari to its portfolio and will push the vendor’s products in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Elari’s innovative consumer technology portfolio includes the Cardphone, a super-slim credit card sized anti-smartphone weighing only 42g that can operate as a standalone mobile phone or sychronise with a smartphone. Al Hosani adds Wacom rights in GCC

Middle East distributor Al Hosani has officially added Wacom to its vendor portfolio. Al Hosani now holds GCC distribution rights for Wacom’s portfolio of interactive pen tablets, pen displays and digital interface technologies. Al Hosani will look to promote Wacom’s creative and consumer products across the region and build channel sales for the vendor. Read full story

BDL Gulf appoints new CEO

Middle East distributor BDL Gulf has appointed Khaled Osman as its new CEO. The appointment follows the recent acquisition of BDL Gulf by Saudi Arabia-based conglomerate Al-Sudais Group. Osman will head and manage BDL Gulf’s entire GCC operations, driving growth and cementing the company’s position in the traditional IT, wholesale and consumer electronics distribution space. In addition, Osman will also be responsible for guiding the company as it looks to expand its vendor alliances and drive in-country channel development strategies. Read full story

Successful second annual DISTREE #ConnectDays Paris reflects growing interest in smart tech products

The second annual DISTREE #ConnectDays event, organised by DISTREE Events in association with INNOV8 Group, took place on the 12-13th April at the Carrousel du Louvre in central Paris. Aptec adds Acronis rights in MEA

Middle East and Africa distributor Aptec, which is part of Ingram Micro, has signed a distribution deal with Acronis, a global leader in hybrid cloud data protection solutions for physical, virtual, and cloud environments. With this agreement, Ingram Micro is now authorised to distribute Acronis to channel partners in United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and South Africa.
