Redington India adds Lenovo smartphone rights

Distribution giant Redington India has announced that it has added in-country distribution rights for Lenovo smartphones. Redington informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) of the tie-up earlier today. As a national distributor for Lenovo smartphones, Redington will push the products to its extensive channel customer base. Read full story

FVC picks up ClickShare rights

VAD outfit FVC has signed a distribution deal with Barco to push the vendor’s ClickShare wireless presentation system to its channel customer base across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. ClickShare allows meeting participants to show presentations on meeting room screens simply by connecting a USB device to their laptops. Read full story

Mobile device vendor Huawei has added ABT as a channel partner in Oman. The deal will see the full range of Huawei devices made available to consumers in Oman. ABT operates as a retail, wholesale and distribution company in the Sultanate. Read full story

Merlion extends Pantum rights to Russia

Merlion has extended its distribution agreement with Chinese printer vendor Pantum to include the Russian Federation. The agreement builds on a relationship that started in March 2013 when Merlion became Pantum’s official distributor in Kazakhstan. Merlion will make the full Pantum portfolio available to its channel customer base in Russia. Read full story

Tech Data Mobile appoints Henchoz

Distribution giant Tech Data has appointed Michelle Henchoz as director of marketing for the UK and Ireland at Tech Data Mobile, the company’s specialist mobile division. Henchoz has more than 18 years’ experience working in senior sales and marketing roles with a number of mobile companies including Sony Ericsson, LG Europe, Bosch Telecom and Vodafone. Asbis strikes Adobe bundling deal

Emerging markets distribution specialist Asbis has struck a value-added bundle (VAB) agreement with software vendor Adobe. Under the terms of the deal Adobe will allow Asbis to bundle Photoshop Elements of Premiere Elements with ‘PC setup services’ provided by resellers in association with additional hardware and software.
