AB Group bond issue raises US$20m

Central & Eastern European distributor AB Group has raised PLN75m (US$20.15m) through long-term bonds to further develop the business. Grzegorz Ochędzan, CFO at AB Group, said: “The change of the AB Group financing structure since 2014, based on long-term bonds that have replaced short-term bank loans, has provided a growth impulse for the company.” Read full story

Klinglmair leaves ALSO

European distribution giant ALSO has announced that its former corporate VP Central Europe, Stefan Klinglmair, is leaving the company due to family reasons. CEO Gustavo Moeller-Hergt, said: “We thank Stefan Klinglmair for his great commitment over the last six years. Tech Data expands Docker rights in Europe

Distribution giant Tech Data’s technology solutions business, formerly a division of Avnet, has extended its distribution agreement with Docker, to deliver their enterprise edition (EE) offering across a wider European footprint. The extended footprint includes Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, as well as the East region countries where it operates, including Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, and the Adriatic region. EET Europarts snaps up Fusion Technologies

Irish audio-visual (AV) distributor Fusion Technologies has been acquired by EET Europarts. Fusion Technologies was founded in 2004, and has grown to become one of Ireland’s leading trade only distributors of AV products, working with a select group of leading AV manufacturers. "Fusion Technologies has a very strong position in the Irish market, distributing quality products to professional AV customers. Ingram Micro adds GFI Software rights in MEA

Distributor Ingram Micro has signed a Middle East and Africa (MEA) distribution deal with secutity and communications software provider GFI Software. Building on its existing relationship with GFI Software in Turkey and Australia, this new agreement will allow Ingram Micro to distribute GFI’s complete range of IT solutions to channel partners in 17 additional countries, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen. Kingston appoints Brightstar in India

Memory products vendor Kingston Technology has appointed Brightstar Telecommunication as a national distributor for its flash business in India. Kingston hopes that the agreement will allow it to reinforce its current footprint in India and expand into new market segments. EET Europarts has acquired French POS distributor Heimdal Distribution. Heimdal is a focused Zebra distributor and specialised in equipment dedicated to mobile automatic identification and logistics.
