Computer 2000, the UK arm of distribution giant Tech Data, has launched a financial services solution that resellers can utilise to help end-user customers complete technology purchases. The Computer 2000 end user finance scheme offer spans more than 30,000 hardware and software products plus related services and is available for purchases of between US$4,750 and US$1.59m. Canon teams with Sharaf DG for DSLR zone

Canon Middle East has teamed up with Sharaf DG to open what it claims is the Middle East’s largest digital SLR (DSLR) product zone at the retailer’s flagship Times Square Mall outlet in Dubai. STME named as IBM business partner

Systems integrator STME has signed a partnership deal to become an IBM business partner in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan. STME will push IBM servers, storage and back-up technologies in its capacity as a data centre infrastructure provider in the region. Read full story

Xerox Emirates has named UAE-based systems integrator and reseller Seven Seas as a business partner. Xerox Emirates, a joint venture between the Mohamed Hareb Al Otaiba Group and Xerox, reckons that the appointment of Seven Seas forms part of its ongoing strategy to expand indirect channel business and boost its market reach.
