LANDesk expands Middle East channel reach

LANDesk Software has boosted its Middle East channel reach, expanding into Bahrain thorugh its partner, Intertec Systems. LANDesk, which supplies systems, security and process management solutions, claims that the move has been prompted by growing demand from public sector, financial services and the telecommunications sector in Bahrain. Track plans Cisco launch events in Saudi Arabia

Track Distribution Middle East, the Aptec-owned entity created from global giant Tech Data’s offloaded Middle East enterprise and components business, will hold Cisco launch events in three cities across Saudi Arabia. Track recently acquired Cisco distribution rights in the Kingdom and will use the event to showcase its services and extended product offering to partners and resellers from across Saudi Arabia. Xerox snaps up Irish reseller

Imaging and printing solutions giant Xerox has splashed out US$31m to acquire Irish Business Systems (IBS). Xerox reckons that the cash deal will enable it to expand its reach into the SMB market in Ireland. IBS, which operates a managed print services provider, has eight offices across Ireland and claims to be the largest independent supplier of digital imaging and printing solutions in the country. Alcatel-Lucent has boosted its UK distribution coverage with the appointment of Incanix as a partner.
