LANDesk expands Middle East channel reach
LANDesk Software has boosted its Middle East channel reach, expanding into Bahrain thorugh its partner, Intertec Systems. LANDesk, which supplies systems, security and process management solutions, claims that the move has been prompted by growing demand from public sector, financial services and the telecommunications sector in Bahrain. The expanded relationship with Intertec marks the first direct availability of LANDesk solutions in the country.

Imaging and printing solutions giant Xerox has splashed out US$31m to acquire Irish Business Systems (IBS). Xerox reckons that the cash deal will enable it to expand its reach into the SMB market in Ireland. IBS, which operates a managed print services provider, has eight offices across Ireland and claims to be the largest independent supplier of digital imaging and printing solutions in the country.
