Bell Micro strikes NEC deal

Bell Micro has struck a distribution deal with NEC IT platform solutions EMEA. Under the terms of the agreement, Bell will manage the distribution of the full portfolio of NEC servers, storage and infrastructure solutions and all related services. NEC’s IT platform solutions business remains committed to a 100% indirect model in EMEA, with fulfillment through the region’s VAR channel. Read full story

Ingram Micro adds HP BCS in Sweden

Ingram Micro has struck a distribution deal in Sweden to carry HP’s business critical systems (BCS) product portfolio. Ingram Micro Sweden will operate as a VAD for BCS, allowing the distributor to carry a broader range of server and storage products. Ingram Micro Sweden reckons that the deal will significantly improve its total offering to resellers in the country. Read full story

Bell Micro confirms HP Networking rights

VAD outfit Bell Micro’s UK operation has confirmed that it has been awarded distribution rights for HP Networking’s product portfolio. Bell Micro claims that the deal will allow it to develop and drive a number of channel strategies and educate resellers on the HP Networking market opportunity. HP’s acquisition and integration of 3Com has put HP Networking’s overall channel strategy under the spotlight. Bell Micro reckons that the deal will result in significant new market opportunities. Synaxon UK passes sales milestone

Reseller group Synaxon UK has reported that sales to its members from Ingram Micro broke the £2m (US$3m) barrier for the first time in March 2010. The sales milestone comes just over a year since Ingram Micro started working with Synaxon in the UK. Read full story

Data backup and recovery solutions supplier A-Server has opened a UK office and data centre to further assist its base of 200 partners within the country. VAD outfit Azlan – part of distribution giant Tech Data - has announced that Felix, its online quoting, ordering and contract renewal system, can now be used by resellers for Cisco Smartnet services. ITE extends Microsoft product rights

Retail-focused ITE Distribution has extended the range of Microsoft products in its portfolio. The two companies have struck an agreement that will see ITE carry Microsoft’s commercial products such as Windows, Office and other software suites. ITE already holds rights to Microsoft’s PC hardware products such as gaming devices, keyboards, mice, webcams and headsets. Read full story
