Avnet adds Xrio in UK

VAD outfit Avnet Technology Solutions (ATS) has struck a UK distribution deal with Xrio. Under the terms of the agreement, ATS will provide resellers with Xrio’s bonding and bandwidth optimisation technologies for enterprise customers. Xrio’s unified bandwidth management (UBM) devices and solutions will be available to VAR partners in the UK as a part of Avnet’s unified communications practice. Read full story

Zycko signs Xsigo deal in UK

VAD outfit Zycko has been appointed as a UK distributor for datacentre virtualisation solutions supplier Xsigo Systems. The two companies claim that Xsigo’s enterprise technology is an ‘essential’ in new build datacentres. Zycko will make Xsigo’s solutions available to its UK reseller base. Read full story

TD Azlan picks up Brocade rights in Europe

TD Azlan has been appointed as a Brocade distributor for Germany, Benelux, Spain, the UK and the Nordics. Alcatel-Lucent adds Incanix in UK

Alcatel-Lucent has boosted its UK distribution coverage with the appointment of Incanix as a partner. Incanix is expected to focus on targeting new resellers to help drive increased end-user adoption of converged IP solutions. DSG offers upbeat trading update

London-quoted retail giant DSG International has issued a trading update on the importance three month festive period ending January 9th 2010. Group sales were up 11% with DSG claiming a good performance across all categories and in all markets, particularly in its Italian, Nordics, UK electricals and e-commerce business units. During the Christmas period in the UK, DSG claims to have sold a PC and a TV every two seconds. Read full story

ATS becomes Tandberg ASP in UK

Avnet Technology Solutions (ATS) has become the first Tandberg channel development partner (CDP) to achieve accredited service partner (ASP) status in the UK. The elevation to ASP status involved a rigorous audit of ATS’ service delivery capabilities. ATS is the largest Tandberg CDP in EMEA and the distributor claims that its new status is evidence of its ability to deliver the highest levels of service through its reseller network.
