CGC reveals Nokia volumes in Qatar

Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC), Nokia distributor and retailer in Qatar, has revealed that it is selling approximately 100,000 devices from the mobile vendor each month. CGC disclosed the figure during its recent annual partner meeting held in Doha. CGC also announced that it would reward its top 30 best performing partners with a trip to Thailand. Read full story

Canon teams with Sharaf DG for DSLR zone

Canon Middle East has teamed up with Sharaf DG to open what it claims is the Middle East’s largest digital SLR (DSLR) product zone at the retailer’s flagship Times Square Mall outlet in Dubai. 20:20 Mobile seals Starlink deal in Qatar

European mobile phone distributor 20:20 Mobile has struck a deal with Qatar-based Starlink. Under the terms of the agreement, 20:20 Mobile will provide services for Starlink’s new in-store mobile phone recycling service. The recycling scheme, which will be launched in Starlink’s Qatar stores, will offer customers the chance to trade in out-of-use handsets for a new device. Read full story

STME named as IBM business partner

Systems integrator STME has signed a partnership deal to become an IBM business partner in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan. STME will push IBM servers, storage and back-up technologies in its capacity as a data centre infrastructure provider in the region. Read full story

Xerox Emirates signs Seven Seas

Xerox Emirates has named UAE-based systems integrator and reseller Seven Seas as a business partner. Xerox Emirates, a joint venture between the Mohamed Hareb Al Otaiba Group and Xerox, reckons that the appointment of Seven Seas forms part of its ongoing strategy to expand indirect channel business and boost its market reach. Pano Logic signs exclusive deal with IIS

Desktop virtualisation solutions vendor Pano Logic has struck an exclusive Middle East distribution deal with IIS.
