Evertek eyes dual sim success

Evertek will showcase mobile phones capable of carrying dual sim cards at this week’s Digital Consumer Channel (DCC) Middle East & Africa (MEA) event in the UAE. Evertek is a brand created by Cellcom, which in turn is part of Tunisian company YKH Group. Cellcom also distributes products from other brands including LG, but the company plans to use DCC MEA – the region’s premier retail channel event – to develop new channels to market for Evertek products. Retail Academy at DCC MEA

Digital Consumer Channel (DCC) Middle East & Africa (MEA) will hold its Retail Academy day on Thursday 20th May – the last day of the event - featuring expert speakers from VIA, GfK, Akhdar and Capital Steps. DCC MEA gathers 160 senior retail executives from across the region, plus 60-plus vendors looking to develop their retail channels. ‘MERA: 2010 Awards’ – VENDOR NOMINATIONS REVEALED

The Middle East Retail Academy (MERA) has revealed the official list of nominated companies for vendor awards in 2010, based on the selection of a retailer jury and MERA members. Jumbo ups customer service ante

Jumbo Electronics is on a mission to prove that the Middle East does not fall short of acceptable standards in customer service. The UAE-based retailer and distributor has opened a new 70,000 square foot customer service centre in Jebel Ali, which it hopes will drive radical improvements in the levels of post-sales service available to consumers in the region. CCC targets Saudi Arabia and Egypt

The UAE-based retail distributor successfully entered several new markets as a result of its participation at DCC MEA 2009.
