ALSO teams with Intcomex for Latin America cloud push

Distributors ALSO and Intcomex have formed a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) partnership for the ALSO cloud marketplace to serve Latin America and the Caribbean. The two companies are joining forces to make the ALSO cloud marketplace platform-as-a-service (PaaS) available to more than 50,000 Intcomex channel partners in 14 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, with plans to expand further in the region. Monster and Brightstar sign global deal

Headphone and speakers brand Monster has announced a partnership with Brightstar. The deal will see Brightstar become a worldwide purveyor of Monster’s line of audio products and mobile accessories. The collaboration will create a powerful new worldwide network for bringing the highest performance audio and power products to end-user consumers across 55 countries on six continents. HMD Global is new home of Nokia phones

Nokia has confirmed that the strategic agreement covering branding rights and intellectual property licensing with HMD Global Oy (HMD), originally announced on May 18, 2016 has come into force. HMD has today announced the completion of transactions between HMD, FIH Mobile Limited (a subsidiary of Hon Hai Precision Industries trading as Foxconn Technology Group) and Microsoft, which means that HMD can begin operations as the new home of Nokia phones, under an exclusive global brand licence for the next ten years, excluding Japan. Nubia eyes European and Latin American markets

Smartphone brand Nubia has announced expansion plans for Europe and Latin America. Consumers in Mexico, Argentina, Russia, Spain and Germany will soon be able to purchase the latest nubia devices in their domestic markets. That includes the nubia Z11 mini, Z9 mini and Z9 Max. Mai Donghai, senior VP of Nubia Technology and co-founder of the nubia brand, said: “nubia has had success in China for the past three years, and now we are setting our sights on new international markets for expansion.
