Nimans adds Netgear

by Stuart Wilson, Wednesday 4 June 2008

UK-based telecoms and data distribution specialist Nimans has added Netgear to its official portfolio. Nimans will stock a range of Netgear kit including switching, wireless and firewall solutions as the distributor looks to broaden its data product portfolio. Nimans covers a wide range of products including telephones, systems, headsets, audio conferencing, integrated systems and structured cabling.

“The introduction of Netgear boosts our offering to the channel, providing a lot more choice for resellers,” commented Geoff Wilde, Nimans’ installation products specialist.

“Netgear produce a switch for every conceivable option and we have access to that now. This partnership creates more convenience for our customers as it allows all the main installation components to be bought from one place. We can offer bundles to create a complete solution whilst the new range works very well with some of our existing telephone system platforms,” he added.

“We were previously getting a lot of requests for this product range and have responded to customer demand. Netgear is a trusted and reliable name in the market and its introduction significantly enhances what was already a comprehensive installation and data portfolio from Nimans,” he concluded.

Distributor Nimans has also launched a sales incentive for all its Polycom resellers giving them the chance to win a luxury all expenses paid long weekend in the Mediterranean sunshine. Nimans conferencing business manager, Chris Smith, claims that the promotion has been carefully structured to give all resellers a chance of success.

“We want to recognise the part played by all our resellers, big and small, in the continued success of Polycom at Nimans. We want to reward their loyalty and inspire them to new heights of success, based on Polycoms margin-rich and innovative product portfolio as audio conferencing continues to grow in popularity - providing a genuine alternative to business travel, saving on rising fuel costs as well as being environmentally friendly,” said Smith.

Nimans employs around 200 staff with annual turnover of approximately US$120m.

CE ANALYSIS: It is comforting to hear that the Polycom solutions provide, ‘a genuine alternative to business travel, saving on rising fuel costs as well as being environmentally friendly’. What better way to celebrate sales of this green product than packing off the top-performing resellers on a jet plane for a weekend in the sun – we assume that Nimans will offset the carbon footprint for these trips.
