E-tailer has enlarged its product scope to include electronics products. Indian consumers can access three new online stores covering mobiles and accessories, camera and photography, plus portable media players., which operates as a marketplace in India, claims that it will stock more than 20,000 SKUs from more than 200 brands, with more than 150 retailers using its site as an e-tail platform. says that its new categories will give online shoppers access to products from more than 150 electronics retailers in one place. Several retailers, including Croma, Vijay Sales, UniverCell, Saholic and J.J. Mehta & Sons, have chosen to use Amazon’s fulfilment service for orders.

Items fulfilled by Amazon will offer additional benefits including cash on delivery service, delivery tracking to the doorstep, plus free returns pickup. As a limited period launch promotion, customers will also enjoy free delivery with no minimum order value on all orders fulfilled by Amazon.

Amit Agarwal, VP and country manager at Amazon India, said: “Customers have been asking us to bring the Amazon experience to electronic products in India. We are very excited to open our marketplace to sellers in these popular categories and offer broad selection, low prices, great convenience, and reliable delivery to shoppers across India.”

The new stores will feature a full range of products and brands covering mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, camcorders, MP3 players, tripods, headsets, cases, covers, camera bags, headphones and other accessories. The line-up will include products from a wide array of brands including Nokia, HTC, Micromax, Blackberry, Samsung, Sennheiser, Panasonic, Sony, Canon and Nikon among others. will provide detailed product descriptions, options to shortlist products by features, customer reviews from and personalised recommendations. is also accessible on mobile devices allowing customers to shop anywhere.
