InstallFree signs CDG distribution deal

by Stuart Wilson, Tuesday 20 May 2008

InstallFree has struck a European distribution deal with CDG. InstallFree bills itself as a vendor of next generation desktop and application virtualisation solutions. The deal expands CDG Europe’s portfolio into the fast-growing application and desktop virtualisation space, offering end-users the potential to lower total cost of ownership, improve operational efficiency and increase end-user productivity.

InstallFree believes that it will benefit from CDG Europe’s pan-European network, large reseller base and value added services. Allan Tyrrell, UK country manager at CDG Europe, commented, “InstallFree has developed a very impressive product, which greatly enhances its customer’s ability to deploy, manage and use virtual applications and desktops. InstallFree’s products will allow our resellers to grow their business in this rapidly developing market and we are absolutely convinced that InstallFree will be one of the IT industry’s growth success stories of 2008 and beyond.”

Yori Gabay, co-founder and CEO at InstallFree, added, “We are very pleased to have reached an agreement of this nature with CDG Europe. CDG has one of the best track records in identifying and successfully bringing to market next generation IT solutions. Together, we will bring the full power of our technology to its resellers and their customers.”

InstallFree’s applications are virtualised with the complete set of resources they require in order to function, require no software to be installed on the host PC and never touch the host operating system or registry files. The platform integrates across a full range of computing infrastructures and provides applications that operate with full functionality.

CDG Europe operates as an IT distributor in Benelux, UK, Sweden and Finland. The objective of CDG Europe and its partners is to translate innovative products and services into new proposals that are attuned to current market developments. CDG claims that its portfolio of technologies enables organisations to build next generation technology infrastructures that can support growth and agility while addressing the core concerns of today’s business IT environment such as cost management, security and green computing.
