Online adds Meru to Middle East portfolio

by Stuart Wilson, Tuesday 17 June 2008

Value-added networking distributor Online Distribution has confirmed the addition of Meru Networks to its Middle East vendor portfolio. Meru, which offers wireless infrastructure solutions, will form part of Online’s fast-growing convergence and mobility business portfolio. US-based meru recently opened an office in the UAE as part of its plan to boost its presence in the Middle East.

“An important part of our business is to provide our customers with leading technology solutions that are reliable, cost effective, and help enhance their business,” commented Venu Menon, sales and marketing director at Online Distribution.

”Meru Networks’ unique wireless technology is well suited to a large part of our customer base who are looking for leading convergence technology to cope with the rapid infrastructure growth throughout the region,” he added. “We are looking forward to working with Meru Networks to introduce all-wireless enterprises to the Middle East.”

Online reckons that latest addition to its portfolio will provide its channel partners with solid technology solutions that enable the ‘all wireless enterprise’ - a Meru concept based on increasing productivity through access to network resources from any location.

Zakir Lokare, regional sales director at Meru Networks, said: ’’Online represents a excellent fit for the Meru portfolio and distribution partner model, that working together we can rapidly expand across the region with their strong channel partner base.”

”Online Distribution has a reputation for quality channel development and consistent first rate customer service. These attributes were key and main driving factors for our decision to appoint Online as our value-added distributor for the region. We look forward to working with them to leverage our reach into key markets across the region and develop a strong channel landscape,” added Lokare.

As a value-added distributor, Online Distribution currently represents more than 30 vendors and provides ongoing training and development plans for their partners.
